My main research area is the theoretical condensed matter physics. In particular, I am interested in those problems which can be best understood using the field theoretical methods.

  • Low dimensional Quantum system

  • Many low dimensional systems possess interesting physical properties owing to inherent strong quantum fluctuations. At this arena, the conventional perturbative approaches break down, and we have to resort to other nonperturbative techniques, such as bosonizations, conformal field theory, and Bethe ansatz. Being combined the renormalization group appraches, the above techniques turn out to be rather powerful, revealing unexpected properties of the system. I am working on a certain spin-orbital problem in one-dimensional quantum system, and effects of phonons in systems with orbital degeneracy.
